BIC Consolidated wanted to strengthen its ESG governance and ensure its social responsibility and supplier due diligence practices aligned with emerging stakeholder expectations and international best practice. The organisation sought an independent assessment to identify strengths, improvement opportunities and practical actions to further enhance its ESG maturity. Orka Advisory conducted an evidence-based analysis of over 60 internal documents, including governance charters, HR and WHS policies, environmental management systems, supplier codes, modern slavery processes, risk frameworks, and community partnership materials. Through this work, we provided the client with clear insights into current maturity levels, opportunities for enhancement, and actionable next steps to elevate organisational transparency, accountability, and social impact.
Orka Advisory partnered with BIC Consolidated across two complementary engagements. The first involved a comprehensive ISO 26000 Gap Analysis, benchmarking the organisation against the seven core subjects of ISO 26000 and providing a practical roadmap to strengthen governance, human rights, labour practices, fair operating practices and broader social responsibility performance. Building on this work, Orka Advisory then undertook an independent Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) Supplier Assessment, reviewing supplier governance, procurement processes, labour practices, modern slavery controls, supplier engagement and monitoring processes. The engagement included document reviews, stakeholder consultations, and the development of a prioritised Corrective Action Plan.
- A clear understanding of its current social responsibility maturity. - A practical roadmap to strengthen alignment with ISO 26000. - An independent assessment of supplier human rights due diligence practices.
